Can I Pay With a
Credit Card?
|
Of course!. Here's the deal: PayPal is both PayPal and also a credit card processor like any bank that processes credit cards. You can use your credit card without having a PayPal account. Here are the steps:
1. Click "buy" button on the GW page.
2. Select your product. If you want the 3 year subscription, click that option at the bottom and use the "X" button to remove the default.
3. Click "Check Out". Note: Don't click "Check out with PayPal".
4. Fill out the address info and click "Submit Order"
5. You will be on a page with 2 choices: "Pay with PayPal account" and "Pay with a debit or credit card". Select the latter. The page may also say "Don't have a PayPal account?" click there to pay as a PayPal guest.
That will get you there.
We also accept personal checks and have even gotten Western Union. Drop us a note and we'll find a way to take your money!

How Often is G-Wizard Updated? |
The short answer is, "As often as we can!"
Our subscription model is an incentive, both for customers and for CNCCookbook. We're trying to create a different kind of software company, so we thought an incentive would be good.
The subscription is an incentive for customers, because it takes them about four years before they will have paid more for G-Wizard than for the other leading products (shhhh, don't tell anyone, that's how we pick our prices!). So it's cheaper for four years. After that, we reckon you will have had enough time to decide whether we've got a better product and therefore are worth more.
It's also an incentive for CNCCookbook to keep improving the software because we have to re-earn your business every year. We have to give you a whole new reason to be excited about us. Within just one month after our beta test ended for G-Wizard, we had added more features than most software gets added in years:
- A Materials database so you can home in on the exact alloy and condition of your work material.
- Slitting saws and woodruff cutters.
- A backup utility for saving your preferences.
- A High Speed Machining calculator for constant engagement angle toolpaths. It also tells you how much to slow down in corners.
- First version of the Cut Knowledge Base, a feature normally reserved for high-end CAM packages

Must I Have an Internet Connection? |
The world has become a connected place and it's a good thing. We knew you were going to want us to take advantage of this, so we started out requiring a connection so that people who wouldn't believe in it wouldn't even go down the G-Wizard path without their eyes open about the need for a connection.
But, we also understand that being on the Internet 24x7 can be a problem too. That's why G-Wizard only has to connect once every two weeks, or when you're actually using one of the online features. Hey, we're a small company--we're flexible!

What Does G-Wizard Do With Its Internet Connection? |
"What's in it for me?" you ask. Well, our software makes sure you have the latest releases as they become available, and that you have access to online documentation for each part of the product. It lets you access the User's Club, our exclusive online community of our users, with just a click. We make it possible for you to download data supplements such as Manufacturer's recommended surface speed and chipload right from the product with just a few clicks.
Down the road, we have a lot bigger ideas. Think of it this way:

That's where we're going.

G-Wizard is not for everyone.
We're not trying to be, because we're trying to create a different kind of company. Our customers frequently tell us G-Wizard has paid for itself in the first use. That may not matter to you and our pace of innovation may not matter either. But if you want the best Feeds and Speeds, you need G-Wizard.
If you just want a simple free product, or at the very least a simple cheap product, they're out there too, and you should check them out.
